Virtual Symposium on "ESG Triple Sustainability Governance" for Eskan Bank Employees.
In line with Eskan Bank's commitment to supporting social responsibility and adopting sustainable development strategies and utilizing all current resources and energies to develop and integrate all Bank operations in alignment with the Kingdom of Bahrain's Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (ESGs). Eskan Bank's Corporate Communications Department organized a symposium on "ESG Triple Sustainability Governance." The symposium addressed environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) governance and featured guest speakers Mr. Mohammed Zubair, the General Manager, and Ms. Geetha Rupasundaram, the Director of Governance and Sustainability at AdviseCube Consulting.
Ms. Geetha Rupasundaram, the Director of Governance and Sustainability, highlighted the importance of sustainability as a measure and indicator of companies' quality and performance. She emphasized the need to foster a sustainable corporate culture by raising awareness about sustainability issues and implementing best practices to ensure their achievement.
Ms. Rupasundaram called for the initiation of efforts to support sustainable development strategies and the consolidation of all current resources and energies for the benefit of future generations.
On his part, Mr. Adnan Fathallah Janahi, the Head of Human Resources, Administration and Corporate Communications at Eskan Bank, emphasized the significance of this aspect for all institutions, starting with the human element as the foundation for implementing and succeeding in these strategies. This is accomplished through organizing lectures and workshops to educate and raise awareness about sustainability topics. We prioritize the implementation of sustainability policies and principles in all Bank operations and services. In the forthcoming periods and stages, we look forward to launching a number of key initiatives related to sustainability in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
