Eskan Bank participates in National Tree Week
In support of the National Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and within the framework of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch National Tree Week, an annual event to take place on the third week of October, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eskan Bank, along with Mr. Abdullah Talib, General Manager of the Eskan Bank, planted a number of trees in "Saar Greens" project.
The Minister affirmed that this initiative supports the national efforts to increase green spaces and raise environmental awareness in the Kingdom, in line with Bahrain's afforestation plan, which aims to double the number of trees to 3.6 million by 2035, in accordance with Kingdom’s commitments to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Her Excellency added that the launch of the NationalTree Week is an incentive to advance social responsibility and enhances the consolidation of an environmental security culture in society by adopting environmentally friendly practices and spreading green spaces affirming the Bank’s commitment to support plans, programs, and initiatives that encourage the dissemination of environmental culture in coordination with all government and private entities, promoting the preservation of plant and natural life.
SAR Greens is a significant project by Eskan Bank, located in Block 575 in Saar area. It offers a unique destination for food and shopping enthusiasts. The project extends over an area of 8,370 square meters and comprises of eight commercial buildings featuring a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops.
